Homepage: From a Product Showcase to a Book Discovery Journey

Homepage: From a Product Showcase to a Book Discovery Journey

In the previous version, the homepage focused mainly on showcasing products, leaving users without a clear starting point when they had no specific goal in mind.

Before

Before

After

After

In the new version:

  • Multiple paths to start the purchase journey were introduced.

  • Key categories were given more visibility.

  • Recommendations tailored to users’ needs were added.

  • The visual hierarchy was made clearer.

A Book for You!

One of the key features designed in this project was a section that helped users who didn’t have a specific book in mind find the right one.

Instead of searching through hundreds of books, users answer a few simple questions and are guided to the most relevant recommendation.

Categories: Faster access to key books.

The category structure was redesigned to help users access sections such as exam preparation books more easily.

This change resulted in:

  • Shorter paths to finding books.

  • Clearer and more readable categories.

  • Better visibility for key products.

Clearer Categories

Recognizable groups and faster entry points.

Guided Discovery

Recommendations shaped by reader needs.

Mobile Clarity

Readable browsing and refined interactions.

UX Strategy

Simplified navigation · Easy-to-scan information · Purposeful discovery paths

Design Priorities

Mobile-first browsing · Consistent visual language · Category visibility

03 / design system

Almost the entire UI was redesigned from scratch—from page structures and components to visual elements.

The only exception was the icons, which were selected from existing icon sets and then customized and refined to better align with the brand’s visual identity.

08 / RESULT

A smoother journey to purchase

The redesign reduced complexity and created a clearer route from discovery to purchase—bringing navigation, category browsing, and the mobile experience into one consistent story.

• Simplify browsing across the book catalogue

• Make relevant categories easier to find

• Guide readers from need to recommendation

• Build a consistent, mobile-ready foundation
